I recently bought a new Brother ST150 HDH sewing machine measuring 16.26 x 7.01D x 12.48H. I'm clumsy, have hand and grip problems, crazy kids that crawl into things they're not supposed to, I have 6 pets that shed and a small house with little storage space. So I need a bag that is strong, SOFT and packs easily so the car doesn't get scratched, bumped or tangled! The padding is great, even on the bottom so I can't damage the car if I sit too hard. I almost made the mistake of buying a few different ones when I searched for "soft" because my search turned up bags with "soft" straps, not the soft bag itself! So many pockets and I love the elastic cord holders! Also note that the car in the bag fits perfectly into one of the slots on the IKEA bookshelf.
