Get them before you need them and take care of yourself

I've never slipped. Don't bulk up on the soles of the shoes so they don't get in the way of walking but provide just enough traction on snow and ice. They even sent an extra set of spikes in case you lose them, although all mine are still there. Easy to put on and take off but I just leave them on my winter boots. You have to get a pair for each family member before they fall and hurt themselves.
