This dress was so flattering when I found out the measurements and found spanks underneath! My tip: If you're between sizes, go one size up. If you're comfortable wearing a form-fitting dress, stay true to your normal size, otherwise size up for a less fitted fit. The material isn't very thick so I would definitely recommend spanks or some shapewear to hold the underwear lines and any imperfections. Overall I really like this fit and am very happy with it, especially for the price. Just note that it's not double lined and doesn't feel very expensive. I'm 5ft 6in, have fairly long legs and it was a few inches above my ankles, just how I wanted it.
