Review on Regalo Easy Step 36-Inch Extra Tall Walk Thru Baby Gate 🚧 with Extension Kit, Pressure Mounting Kit, Wall Cups, and Mounting Kit (4-Pack) by Ursula Kennedy

We have installed many children's goals without any problems - this one had excellent reviews. We cannot install it in a standard door. No matter what we try, it won't open. The gate will only work if it is loose enough that the top does not stay tight between the door frame. This is a standard bedroom door! We tinkered with it for about an hour, going through the instructions multiple times, taking it apart and putting it back together - to no avail. Once it's tight enough, the gate opener/lever stops working and we get locked out of our nursery. Not sure how to fix the problem, or did we receive a defective device? Very upset.
