The coat itself is more like a windbreaker. The fleece inside is very thin and doesn't warm at all. This coat is definitely not for winter. Best in spring or early fall. My 2 lb poodle was shivering in this coat 3 minutes after she went to the bathroom in 40 degree weather and I had to take her back inside. Also, the legs are too long and totally useless for her tiny 7 inch body. On the plus side, each piece is detachable, so I can use the coat and hood even in slightly warmer weather. The quality is also very good. Powerful and not cheap at all.
