Review on Levi's Double πŸ‘– Rivet Genuine Leather Belt by Brian Avila

Revainrating 5 out of 5

odd size, color difference

I tried both belts M and L (different "colors" M matt, L division) and there is a discrepancy in size and material. I wear 35th waist : 34 on some brands, 35 on some and "L" on house pants. M fits me, but I have to wear it on the 2nd hole. But it works (contrary to product advice). I have to wear the "L" (recommended for my waist) on the penultimate hole and it leaves a long tail sticking out awkwardly. I can move the buckle (great) and it sticks out less, but it's perfect for hitting my hand every time I use my jean pocket. every time I wouldn't follow their sizing advice unless you are on the lower end of the range for that size. The material of the two colors is different, not only the color. Holes, cuts, hole types and even branding. Look at my picture of M and L. The effective difference in belt length is significant, which explains my "tight or flexible" dilemma. (Note that I bought and "sold and shipped" from Amazon, so this is not a reseller issue). Belt sizing is often unusual in that it is too tight or too long unless you reach the bottom of the size you purchased. But there are too many differences, inconsistencies between versions and listings, and that's kind of weird stuff - layered? Sandwich? Will it peel off like old vinyl after a few weeks of use? What exactly does "mixture" mean, it's not a fabric. The buckle listed for "M" (brushed silver metal) is not the buckle I received (brushed black metal pictured). It's worth the Levis name if it's a crappy factory or something. But unless it's holding up exceptionally well, I'm not overly keen on buying one. You might want to keep looking.

Pros

Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
