GOOD: Price is a steal compared to my Hue system. Of course, I don't have any issues with QC (see below) with Hue, but still. Features: You can set the normal mode for these bulbs (white) with adjustable color temperature (2700K-6500K). This lamp is worth its price for that alone. However, if you just want that feature, there's another non-RGB version that lets you get that for about $5 less per bulb. RGB is why you should buy this. The ability to create very nice atmospheric lighting for your room, mixing soft shades of blue and orange together to create the perfect chill spot in your home or perhaps for a party. I got mine for this reason and it worked great (again quality control aside). My HUB (SmartThings) has easy access to all the options like brightness/color temperature/color so I can select any setting and assign it to a scene with a combination of other lights like this, other systems (Hue) and another device (TV). . . With my built in scene, I can easily invoke this "look" with a button press on my phone or by pressing a physical button with the smart things button. I use these lightbulbs in my bedroom for Netflix and chill moments and also use them to wake me up in the morning. Ease of use: 5/5. If you only connect one bulb at a time during setup, you'll get through the process very quickly. IF (not) you try to turn on a bunch of lightbulbs that aren't configured, the process will be MUCH slower. When trying to install multiple apps at the same time, the app (smart things) seems to freeze badly, which greatly slows down the process. BAD: (Very) Quality Control As my title suggests, the quality control on these bulbs is pretty terrible. My first set had two 2/4 DOA tubes. I ended up ordering a second one with the intention of returning set #1. Set #2 arrived, 1/4 DOA. So at this point 3/8 bulbs are blown on arrival (37% failure rate). Eventually kit #3 arrived with all four bulbs working. I returned set #1 and #2.
