I'll start with the CONS: Everything about this laptop is great except for the SD card slot and annoying fan noise. The SD card slot reads at around 22 MB/s when using a class 10 U3 microSD card. For a laptop designed for content creators, this is very slow. All of my recording devices use micro SD cards and once the recording is complete I like to just pop the SD card into the slot and transfer the files to my laptop for processing. The same cards in my 7 year old Surface Pro transfer data 4x faster than this laptop. Using a cheap SD card reader, I can get read speeds of around 88MB/s when plugged into one of this laptop's USB ports. So the workaround is to forget about using the SD card slot and just use an SD card reader with USB 3.x speeds, but in reality such an expensive laptop should be lightning fast. My second complaint is that I think I have a faulty fan that seems to have blades hitting the case. I say this because I tried another Z16 that didn't have this noise. I expect a buzzing fan noise, but not this. I have a third problem. The laptop has a Thunderbolt 4 port and a USB 3.2 Type-A port on each side, which is great, but if you use the same type of Thunderbolt port and USB Type-A port, performance will be poor , since they appear to share resources. I tried to transfer a file from the attached drives and got a transfer rate of 17MB/s which is awful. On the plus side, the touchscreen, performance, USB ports, and speakers are great. I tested the laptop with DaVinci Resolve Studio and was impressed with the performance. The keyboard seems fine, but sometimes I don't press the spacebar hard enough. Maybe it's just me. To update:. I actually bought 2 of these. The other doesn't have a fan issue but has an equally slow SD card slot. I really like the laptop, except for the card slot speed, which has a workaround. So I've raised my rating to 4 stars. And the price of this laptop seems very good for the price I paid which is $2599.
