I have been using the lens for about 5 years, this is the main glass. I shoot mostly reportage in conjunction with 24-70 2.8, where you need to get bigger. Sharp at all f values. During use, the lens worked in frost and heat, in heavy rain and snowfall. It was pricked into 2 parts on a concrete slab (after a little soapy at 2.8 on the right edge, but not critical) it works like a clock. When the aperture is closed, the sun and other light sources look like stars. Good work in backlight, good contrast and colors. A slight vignette is observed at the closed aperture, if necessary, it can be corrected programmatically. Not too overwhelmed perspective, dynamic and interesting picture. Ingoda does not have enough angle, for statics there is 14mm from samyang. There is already a second protective light filter on the lens, now marumi slim, dust constantly reaches under it on the front lens, but everything is clean in the lens itself. For myself, I don’t see much point in changing to the lll version, maybe mine is enough, and compared to 3, it’s still bigger and heavier, it’s noticeable! Now the lens works in conjunction with 5d3 and 1dx. Let's see what happens when we go to 5d4 and 1dx2. Maybe the opinion will change, but in my case, size and weight already play a role.
