Functional, relatively easy to assemble. Not designed to be strong or carry a lot of weight so be careful. Can be improved by making the surface non-slip. Whatever the case, if it's not perfectly flat, anything you put on it can slide right off. I had to put a shelf on it after my remotes slipped off a couple of times.
