Lots of space and I would say the bag is a good aesthetic size but I could appreciate the looks. slightly larger - maybe a squarer valve. I'm 50, so young people can appreciate this little moment. I was too lazy to zip it up, but a zipper is a good deterrent to theft that happens when people bump into you. It doesn't look like the laptop is plugged in, which is what I wanted. I tried putting a water bottle in the side pockets and no! They tend to fall out immediately, at least when full. So far the bag is pretty solid. it is soft thick cotton; I suppose they're no match for a knife, although I can't imagine such a confrontation, even traveling across the 3rd world. I didn't notice that the straps and other details are brown. It's commonplace. Maybe a little too casual for me but I haven't seen anything I liked more and the price is great under $30. Used but in very good condition, discounted.
