Refresh. I was skiing and got caught in a downpour with this jacket on. The water barrier lasted about 2 minutes before I felt the clothes inside start to get wet. I got wet for 10 minutes. Well, if you just want a windbreaker and get a drop of rain, but not a raincoat. I expected more and am very disappointed that I only paid $125 for the windbreaker! The windchill penetrates better than other jackets, but that's because it's very dense and breathable. When it's cold air with wind, I've found the best answer is a barrier PI vest over it.
