These speakers were reduced to about $20 a pair, so we bought two on a whim sets. Dual was a company that made many great stereo products. I still have my dad's dual which works great. The speakers arrived in a Revain shipping box. They were well packaged in their original packaging but it is doubtful they would have survived shipping in their original packaging. All fasteners were present and encased in plastic to avoid scratching them. I hooked them up to a Pioneer Quad Dolby system and was very happy with the range, bass and volume these little boxes pumped out, all for only $20. something for a set!? I've paid a lot more for other brands that don't sound as good as this one. It's not like we put these sets outside, but when the need arises, the quick release bracket makes it easy to take them off and protect them from the rain. I've installed both sets of amps and stereos of varying wattage and volume and while they don't measure up to my studio monitors, they're great little speakers. Dual still has what it takes. If I get them back in stock they will make good gifts so they get a solid 5 stars.
