My mistake I forgot my carry on has a single handle not a double bar. This strap is designed for double bar grips. So I used this with my registered bag which has a double bar handle. Because my bag was so big, the handle got shorter, but it still held my duffel bag up with no issues. The strap is very stretchy so I can wear a sweatshirt underneath without taking anything off. I was even able to use the strap to tie two suitcases together so they don't come loose from each other while I'm maneuvering at the airport. Very convenient as I was traveling alone. This is a handy little device that I will use every time I travel. Recommend!
