Review on Gilden 22 24mm Calfskin TS62 1524mm: Premium Wristwatch Strap for Style and Comfort by Wanick Palermo

I started collecting watches almost two decades ago and like many other collectors, I got interested in this hobby thanks to the many interesting and affordable purchases made by the Invicta brand. Over the years I've specialized in Swiss luxury watches, regular Japanese offerings and many micro brands, but some of my first Invicta "training" watches came with a horrible polyester plastic strap that self-destructs over time. Invicta replacement straps are insanely expensive, costing as much as an entire watch, but non-genuine replica straps are generally not suitable. And replacement Invictas, despite their high cost, are still made of polyester and are guaranteed to break. So I tried Guilds (their waterproof version) on the Sea Hunter and it worked great! When another band fell apart for another Invicta I decided to go back to this brand and of course this band was an excellent decision as well. As the watch is bold, these thick straps are the perfect solution to maintain and even enhance it. The overall look of the watch and the quality of these straps are superb. Their customer service is great too and they are quick to answer any questions you might have. I was concerned that the tight space between the spring bar and the case would be an issue with this thicker band, but it worked well. I had to make another hole because they seem to fit a fairly large wrist size (mine is 7.25 inches) but I have a good leather punch and the new hole makes for a perfect fit. As with my other guild bracelet, the craftsmanship here is great, from the materials to the construction, and I'm very happy with it. I actually swapped out the buckles to keep the factory branded buckle so overall it's just an amazing upgrade and no more crappy polyester. While I've never bought another watch with a plastic polyester strap, this was a great way to update my old watch with those horribly cheap straps. were a concrete solution for me, I have no doubt that these straps will work just as well with any other watch brand.
