Review on Enhance Your Audio Experience with the ASUS Strix SOAR Sound Card by Mateusz Banaszkiewic ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are several shortcomings, in principle, it corresponds to the norm.

I didn't like the sound card. The level exceeds many hi-fi players, but falls short of its competitor from Creative. I use it with a CHIEFTEC power supply with an 80+ Gold certificate per kilowatt. There is no interference from a loaded video card connected in parallel. Runs under Arch linux, kernel version 5.72022 (there is only one audio stream). It is not suitable for audiophiles, that's why it is "gaming". I repeat, but still: when buying, consider your power supply.

Pros
  • + Good sound. But, unfortunately, on most audio equipment up to 5000, the difference between this and the built-in audio card will be distinguishable only in sufficient frequency response uniformity, no more. + Good built-in amplifier. I set the average impedance on my axelvox hd 721 headphones and the music was clearly audible at a volume of 10. + Sonic studio. For someone, maybe a useful feature. For me, it's just a customization panel. + ASUS Radar Pro. Doubtful "cheat", because in reality it does not. Moreover, it only works in games with surround sound support. + Stylish. It is a pity that in my case it is almost invisible.
Cons
  • - The price is extremely high. I took a new one for 7000. 5000 - its price tag. - Requires a good power supply. Please note that interference appears due to poor power supply. 6-pin eliminate interference from the motherboard. If you don't have a 6-pin for this card, use a MOLEX or SATA adapter. - The set is empty. I would like something more than a sticker with an eye.
