Review on Photo camera Canon PowerShot SX240 HS, black by Michael Baek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

I took it in October 2022 to work with billboards on the highway and shoot catalogs-notebooks of grocery stores, the price is not small, but the camera is worth its money. I really liked him. I put 4 stars because of the price, tricky charging, tight mode wheel. Everything is perfect for fast 3-tap and 2-tap shooting in different conditions and long distances. In sunny weather, a billboard with its text will take a picture from 200 meters without a tripod. And before going hunting, I always recharge, or you can buy a spare battery (on a dead battery (1 bar), it does not zoom and does not shoot video). Already completed 5600 shots. With SDHC it saves a little faster, but the processing of a 4000x3000 image is the same with any card for about 1.5-2 seconds, the flash charging is instantaneous and it adapts itself in terms of power. I advise you to buy a case, because after 4 months of active use in work and storage with carrying in a bag instead of a hard case, the Lens SHUTTER scratches the center of the lens, that is, because of the soft case, they touch the lens. If you need a large compact with a Canon inscription, with a universal auto mode, and shooting in difficult lighting conditions and capturing and approaching distant objects and FullHD and do not need GPS and WiFi, then this is it. And if you just need a photo once a month as a keepsake, then it’s better to think and think a second time. Take a good camera on a trip from a good neighbor)))) I'm adding a review. It's been 5 years, clicked over 20,000 shots, and the camera is still alive. I actually finished it myself. I fell with a lens on a tile from 1 meter. Need repair skew, wedge and lens dent. Before that, he broke the glass of the screen. And at the age of 5, a lens error popped up and the camera turned off by itself. And so noteworthy is the Canon pjwer shot series. I haven't tried the new ones so I don't know.

Pros
  • Wonderful compact auto photo beast and with a chain of simple settings Liked the ease of use in many modes; convenient control levers and everything is intuitive; good optical zoom with excellent stabilization, as well as digital zoom works clearly (at max 80x, even without a tripod, after stabilization and focusing in 3 seconds, there is a full-fledged photo, but a little worse than 20x magnification); in poor lighting and in the evening at dusk with the flash turned off, it shoots well at a dozen meters; the quality of CANON (lens, matrix) is felt; the flash in this model leaves only when it is needed; excellent autofocus with the definition of geometry and people's faces; battery capacity is normal; strong (2 falls from the cover to the floor withstood); for a tripod there is an iron thread, from the little things there is a plastic grip for fingers from slipping on the front panel (it helps me).
Cons
  • Charging - Canon with pulling out the battery. But the lid has been opened 500 times and does not break like new! Compiling a panorama NOT in the camera - merging together only through the software in the box. When shooting video, lens sounds are heard when zooming at the beginning of the zoom. The mode dial is a little taut. Long video shooting requires a spare battery. Original from 2 thousand.
