I use it on a 25 lb raccoon. Very different from a dog. I walk him in a special stroller and he doesn't roam freely. But since he can only go outside at that time, I needed a hoodie to extend walks in colder weather. I was surprised that he didn't mind because he's a cat. But in that he was calm. Important features were the softness of the fabric and the roughness of the seams. It didn't prevent him from moving (which would be fine with me!) and the thickness was just right to keep him warm on a very chilly fall day.
