My friend (kindergarten teacher) recommended this as a good STEM activity for the little ones. I bought one for my girls (2 and 4) for Christmas and it arrived today. WOW, there are way more pieces than I thought! (Although admittedly I only bought it on her recommendation and didn't even look at how many there were) I thought I might need another one, but I definitely think it would work for both of my girls! It's a pretty simple toy, you build flowers. I thought there was a bug with some of the smaller inserts (which look like the center of a flower) because they didn't fit perfectly, but I realized that when you push them together you can't pull them apart (because they are flat on top ). So it makes sense. Almost all of the pieces fit together tightly enough that you can hold the flower in almost any direction and it will stay intact. Very cute and funny. I definitely think my girls will love it! And there are plenty of parts, so hopefully there won't be any combat either.
