This grinder has an excellent design and produces a very even grind. I'm totally impressed. Here's what's good: 1) The grind path is STRAIGHT DOWN from the beans to the burr cone and down to the bowl or portafilter like the Pro model. There are no bends or flat areas. Gravity ensures that no ground coffee is left in the grinder. 2) The tapered ridge is FULLY removable from the machine for easy cleaning. Fiction! I haven't found anyone else who does this. 3) It has locks on each interface to prevent accidental use without all its components. Very sure. 4) The grind adjustment has many levels for a very precise grind control. 5) It has a fairly large 150w motor and is (probably) belt driven from the motor to the millstone so it's quiet. 6) You can grind your coffee DIRECTLY into an espresso portafilter like a professional machine. Every time you need to scoop coffee, make a transfer and leave a grind. Going straight to the portafilter eliminates the need to scoop out or clean another container! Faster, easier, cleaner, better. 7) The auger has additional processing (notches) on the blades for gradually grinding grains before final grinding. This probably makes the cone a bit more expensive to produce, but makes for a more consistent grind with less heat build-up. stop when you've had enough Very good!
