Bought with skepticism

Bought this grinder with a bit of skepticism. I asked some of the reviewers who gave the coffee grinder five stars. I have a hard time believing someone who reviews five or six products in the same day. So far, the grinder has worked with espresso, pour-over and French press beans. But in my opinion this is an Austrian coffee grinder in name only. Some dust today. I know exactly what happened and I can remove the burr mechanism to see if I can put the little spring back in place. It's completely locked. So it's useless, and I'm very upset that I haven't had it for even a year; I don't use it every day; I never run it for 3 minutes (Müller limit before the machine shuts off 30 minutes), I grind in small batches (5-7 teaspoons of whole beans that don't even fill to the MAX line on the bean hopper) x 3 in between Leaving batches to rest so…

The 2nd coffee grinder works, the first one failed and has been replaced.

2 Rating: The replacement has been working well so far, for about 2 months. The seller asked to update this review, here it is. Perhaps they should publicize the reason such products fail and allow buyers to make an informed decision. This is a very easy to use and clean, compact and attractive grinder that grinds beans as it should. Superb design, straight bean path, excellent grind

This grinder has an excellent design and produces a very even grind. I'm totally impressed. Here's what's good: 1) The grind path is STRAIGHT DOWN from the beans to the burr cone and down to the bowl or portafilter like the Pro model. There are no bends or flat areas. Bought this grinder a few weeks ago; Since the beginning of January I have been researching/observing several cone mills. When I finally discovered this coffee grinder in February, it had an attractive price and I decided to take a chance and use it. I used to have the popular Cuisinart DBM-8 Flat Burr Coffee Grinder for less than $40. That was enough for me for 8-9 years of almost daily use, but I've never been in love with it.
