Let's get that out of the way first. i'm just a little guy 5'7", 135 pounds. So what works for me probably won't work for everyone. So for the first time in nine years, I moved into a new two bedroom apartment with my girlfriend, which is new to us. None of us sleeps really well in bed with someone else even if that other one is a cat (we lock them both up) so we were happy to have our own rooms, she took our old bed and I as I don't have much space in my room decided to buy a cheap flimsy futon that didn't have enough padding to sleep on alone and put it on it worked beautifully its sooooo comfortable I sleep like a sleep every night Baby. Sometimes she comes and lays on it and says it's more comfortable than our old bed. Which I think is an exaggeration. But still, it's pretty comfortable. Well, if you put this thing on a hard floor, not one f uton like mine, or maybe on a thick carpet, you'll feel the ground through it, especially if you're significantly heavier than me. Since many people are likely to buy this bed as a guest bed to put on the floor when guests arrive, I think it's worth mentioning. You could probably still sleep on it, but it won't be the incredibly comfortable feeling I get every night. But with blankets folded underneath you might get there. It's also worth mentioning that you CAN wash the cover. It comes with a tag that says Clean Stain Only, but forget it! I'm not going to put a sheet on this oddly large mattress that I fold every day, and I'm not just not going to wash the cover. So I bit the bullet, put it in the washing machine on the gentle cycle with cold water and tumble dried on a medium heat, and it came out perfectly clean and in perfect condition.
