This little device is great. Research shows that massage using vibration (as opposed to percussion) is the best way to relax muscles. Since many unexplained pains are caused by muscle tension and/or spasms compressing nerves, this can go a long way towards reducing pain. Works great on the lower back. I also use it on my scalp and neck muscles every night and it has helped a lot in reducing my migraines. It comes with batteries but they were dead when the package arrived. When I replaced them with new batteries it really started to work. If it works for a while, it smells like plastic, but it's not bad. Follow the prompts and pull the tab to keep the button working without having to hold the button down. It is very comfortable to hold in hand, small enough for travel. Good value for money
