Does not support connection to a monitor or USB ports when the device is unplugged. I've had extremely inconsistent results with three laptops and one desktop connected to different video types (all 1080p), including Displayport, VGA, and HDMI, using non-HDMI adapters. Sometimes the computers woke up, sometimes they had a mouse and keyboard, sometimes they had video, there didn't seem to be a pattern. It seemed to work with my desktop, which helps me a bit in this scenario. Returned.
