The VESA mount is rock solid. I read many reviews saying this stand cannot support the weight of a 32 inch monitor. I have a 32" 4K LG monitor that weighs about 19 pounds. This stand simply holds strong. The challenge was that she started bending to the side. Customer service called VIVO has always been good (based on my previous experience with them). And the technician immediately pointed out that when I have an IKEA table, it is hollow and tends to bend / dent and recommended buying a counterweight stand (iron plate sold by vivo) and that solved the problem perfectly. So if you have a weak countertop, this is your choice. Excellent customer service. My VESA mount was missing a plastic cable management cover, but when I called customer service they immediately sent me the missing part. Similarly, there was an issue with my stand bending to one side due to the weight of the monitor. I would definitely buy VIVO products knowing that I get good customer support from them.
