I bought this last year and my daughter loved it. Does not smell with prolonged use and does not lose color when washed. This lasted 1 year, then the cushion on the underside slipped off. The problem is that there is a plastic sleeve around it. When the leg falls over the edge the pillow can't hold it up and the plastic hits the leg and it hurts. So throw it away if the pillow falls through. Used it indoors for 1 year and the shoe hasn't fallen apart so it's well made.
