This shelf was purchased for our basement laundry room. The shelves are similar to the NSF wire blocks you can buy at a Lagerhaus member club or the non-NSF versions at hardware stores, but at a much lower price (under $30). We stored our washer/dryer towels on the floor or on top of the washer/dryer prior to receiving these shelves. They have always been unsightly and we have always looked for a way to prevent dirt and debris from building up on the light. This unit fits the space perfectly and separates the cleaning products so what we need is within easy reach. The device is very durable and easy to assemble. Assembly takes practice if you've never assembled these wire shelves before. Keeping the shelf level when you lower it onto the black clips is key to easy assembly. Always make sure the black clips find the edge on the shelf and we used masking tape on the underside of the two black clips to hold them in place before dropping the shelf. Don't use a metal mallet, use a rubber mallet or a small piece of 2x4 to hit the shelf to move it! I would recommend this shelf for many storage applications.
