I ordered a XXXL ,because I'm 38 waist 44 hips and I wanted a snug fit. They weren't snug on any part of my body. They are bagging in the fupa area like I needed room for extra "equipment". Inseam was too long, which made me have to pull them up to my boobs to get rid of the low falling crotch, which then made them to high above my ankle. Overall they didn't fit. I guess this must be what the 7/8 means. You have to carry your weight throughout your legs ,thighs, butt, stomach for these to work. Coverage is good, pockets deep, the top stitched seams are invisible( no lint ball collecting on them) ,no compression if that's what you're looking for.
