I can't say enough good things about this case. It comes in professional packaging so you can be proud to give it as a gift. The case is a hard plastic case with all the cutouts in the right places to access the ports and controls. The kit includes a charger for a Bluetooth keyboard. My iPad snapped into place with a secure latch and held up very well. It took me a minute to figure out how to get the iPad out of the case, but once I figured it out (just push the corners back), it was easy. The top opens with some stiffness, allowing you to adjust the screen for the best viewing angle and it stays where you want it. You can also rotate the top so the keyboard is at the back and out of the way. It has a pen holder. When closed, the keyboard and iPad case is pretty thin considering what it's holding. When opened, the iPad sleeve fits so well that it actually looks like a small laptop. The keyboard has a nice "click" on the keys. The keyboard is backlit in five different colors and can be made brighter or darker depending on your needs. When typing on the keyboard, the letters appear on the screen instantly, making it very responsive. I highly recommend it!
