Very difficult, dare I say, impossible to find stainless steel containers of different sizes for children's lunches. In fact, I can't find anything other than Kids Konserve that isn't insanely expensive, and when I do, the lids leak. We have been using them for over 4 years and have had to replace one of the 6 caps due to cracks. I wash them in the dishwasher and am completely satisfied with them. They don't lick at all. You are solid. My only issue is that it's really difficult for younger kids to put them on and take them off by themselves. My 5 year old was only able to do this this year. I'm guessing that makes them airtight, so I'd trade it in. But some preschools encourage independence, and these bins don't really encourage it.
