Review on Dr Collins Perio Toothbrush Colors Oral Care by Rachel Mitchell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very soft and soothing!

Whether you brush your teeth several times a day, are an elderly person or just someone with sensitive gums, this brush is simply indispensable. In the evenings I still use my "soft" Oral B (soft is relative. Oral B is not soft in comparison), but I usually use it in the morning and at noon. As soft as it is it really does remove plaque etc. I also have a Collis Curve brush but I don't use it very often. I don't feel like my teeth are clean after using it. Also, as others have pointed out, it has a really awful, cheap, and uncomfortable grip. This one isn't fancy, but it's ergonomically balanced. Also, this brush is about half the price of the curve! Update 10/31/13: Just got back from a 6 month cleaning and mentioned this brush to my hygienist. She showed me a new one just released by Colgate, which is almost an exact replica of this brush, except that Colgate reserved the right to dye the tips of the bristles blue. She said the reason it cleans so well is because the tips of the bristles are actually very thin and almost feather-light, so they really get into crevices. Now I'm going to check the price difference between this and Colgate, but other things being equal I'd rather take this one and support the company that invented it.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • something different
