I bought these to hang my baseball caps on the back door of my garage so they're always handy when I leave the house. They stick very well to the surface. on the back door and never accidentally dropped. I also have one by the back door that easily fits a large beach towel that I use to dry my dog's paws when he enters the house. These magnets stick very well - they feel like they're pinching the item, as opposed to the flimsy "stick but will likely fall off once you walk away" that some other magnetic hooks have. Turn up. They come disassembled - 5 seconds twist of the hook on the base and you're good to go.
