Review on 🐱 HONEY CARE Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box - No Scooping, Dust-Free & Perfect for Multiple Cats by Heather Smith

Suitable for small cats only

This isn't my first automatic tray but it's the worst I've used to date. While it technically works, it's not an experience you can set and forget. The instructions state that this machine is only suitable for certain types of cat litter. It shouldn't be used if your cat has loose stools (which means you'll have to hand-clean it every time your cat is ill or taking medication that can cause this). , only for cats weighing up to 16.5 pounds and only for one or two cat houses. The main issues I have encountered with this machine are poor quality materials, poor bin placement, small footprint, large footprint and exceptionally slow speed. (i.e. a debris cover fell off mine in transit) then remove the pins and check before adding the cover. When you first plug it in, it runs once, then you can add bentonite bedding and attach the lid. Filling with filler is a huge pain as the fill lines are very hard to see when pouring. The result is about an inch of litter, which unfortunately isn't deep enough for many cats to be comfortable. In addition, the total area that cats can use is only about 12 inches. I have a healthy and lean 10kg cat who has used other cat litter in the past with no problem but he hates this thing. He can hardly turn in it and the lid sits so low that he actually has to crouch down all the time. Looks like this thing is for kittens. One of my biggest complaints about this car is the poor quality of the materials. To be honest I was surprised that this thing came with no cracks. The plastic is thin and looks cheap. For the current price of around $500, I expected more. The base isn't a huge issue, but the lid and litter box are flimsy and I'm worried about them cracking when attaching or removing them, which is a common requirement when putting more litter on the base or cleaning the bin. Cleaning that litter box is a pain. There's no getting around it. The trash can is in the back of the car, and if you don't have a trash can in the middle of the room, it's usually pushed up against the wall. To do this, you have to pull the entire machine out of the wall to remove the tray. In addition, the pallet is difficult to remove. It almost feels like a bug because no matter what angle I try to take it off, it gets stuck on one side or the other and you have to either pull it out with great force or wiggle it slowly, which is difficult is when you're trying to hold it close enough to the wall for the cord to reach an outlet. Another issue with the location of the litter bin is that because it is at the back of the box, there is a large area inside the box that is unusable for the cat, but where litter can fall very easily. This means that every time I take the lid off, I have to spend extra time cleaning dirt from that area. However, this box has a small plus: many parts can be removed for cleaning. My final complaint is that the trash can lid lifts off the screen and makes a ridiculously loud clicking noise every time. This is caused by the strainer rubbing against the lid when you lift it and one of the plastic edges of the strainer catches and pops out over the strainer. It annoys me and scares my cat. Overall I would not recommend this tray. It is difficult to use, too expensive and only suitable for small cats. There are much better options at the same or slightly higher prices.
