I have a template from more expensive packaging and I use it with this glass. Before stencils, you could line it up like a loop with tape, giving you the perfect position. It took longer to perfect, but now that the templates are on the phone you can get one from the ESR or whatever and then just replace it as needed. So it's worth stocking up on a larger missing piece or simply having spare parts. They rarely need to be replaced unless you're really unlucky with a fall or if you've thrown it in a bag, exposing the screen to scratches. Hope that helps.
