If they are a medium, it's in men's sizes as they were much too large on my women's size 7 foot.These socks are very thick, and you can feel the neoprene. I felt like I was putting a wetsuit on my feet. It was an odd feeling, but if they had fit, maybe they would have felt more comfortable, and I could get used to it.I could see where survivalists, campers, and rescue workers would appreciate having these. They would be great for hunting and fishing. These socks are very thick and heavy. The knit fabric feels relatively soft, and they seem well made.
