There were many conflicting opinions about this. It seems either beautiful or the cause of the collapse of civilization. For me, this falls into the "biggest event since sliced bread" category. We've had internet access through our cable company for many years, and we got to a point where our indoor internet speeds were much faster than our old wireless 802.11b system could handle. We all just avoided watching videos because they were slow and choppy, but I finally decided to upgrade to take full advantage of the bandwidth. Insert the Linksys CD into our family main computer, which has a cable modem and wireless set-top box, and follow the very simple instructions. I wrote down the new secret key and then went to other computers and entered it into the wireless adapter settings on those computers. Now all the laptops and desktops in the house are lightning fast and we can easily watch movies, YouTube and whatever. On my own desktop computer, I had a wireless -b adapter that I upgraded to a Linksys wireless dual-frequency adapter. Now my own computer runs at 5GHz while everyone else and the Netflix enabled Blu-ray player (LG BD 390) runs at 2.4GHz. When possible, we will upgrade some other computers to dual band to expand our capabilities, or keep 5GHz for future products. Anyway, I just wanted to add my two cents about this particular dual-band wireless router. it was crazy easy to set up and connect to all our computers. We now have internet that is literally three times faster than last week and thanks to this new Linksys box we can stream videos to our Blu-ray player via Netflix. The whole family spent the weekend in front of the computers, admiring the increased speed, and thanks to this Linksys router, adding everyone's choice of instant Netflix streaming and watching them on the TV. This device is value for money and we didn't experience any signal dropouts or a weak signal either. (Also I bought it through Revain who had the best price I could find, used free shipping and still got it in 4 days. I've mostly been lucky with Revain's free shipping. They say upfront that it might take a while, but out of probably 8 or so orders that I've opted for free shipping on, only one order took over 7 days to get to me.)
