School uniforms are new to our family and I was pleased to be able to purchase these pants at a reasonable price and under a well known brand name. Both of my daughters are slightly taller and slim, so I knew I needed an adjustable waist. I was happy with my purchase until the pants were washed 3 times and they shrank at least an inch. Adjusting the waist to make the pants longer is not the best option as it would make them too loose in the waist. If you are buying for a child who is tall and slim I would advise ordering one size up.
