I was very disappointed with this lens. The reviews were good so I took a chance and bought a 420-800mm lens for my Nikon D 7200. I read the reviews and followed all the posts. My bird photos just didn't live up to my expectations. UPDATE: I read other reviews and decided to check for a possible firmware update for my D7200. When I used Live View I had a nice and clear image on the camera screen, but when I pressed the button to take a picture the result was like this (see attached photos). I was impressed with the quality of the glass on this lens and I hope this lens works for me. I have requested a replacement lens. I hope this one is defective. The lens was shipped in a Revain package and the lens box was bubble wrapped. Not too impressed by that. will arrive tomorrow Replacement lenses arrived today. while it works fine. The other lens did not focus properly. I'll take some time to get used to it and update the review again.
