So far so good. Damaged package = damaged product.
I bought the "damaged original package version" for a reduced price. It worked but I had to open it up and fix the broken transformer mount on the inside. The remote was cracked on the side as well. The only other issue is that the smooth or fade transition modes is faster than the strobe. In the end it does what I need it to do. It made it through the summer and we'll see if it survives the winter.
