I followed the Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro with specific intent while I was driving. I went there after reading reviews about how good they are and how all of the studios work with them and other similar things on a variety of different resources. I came, I listened. and I was not blown away by it! I just wasn't experiencing any feelings at all. I listened to audio equipment that was sold at the same price by senheiser to other buyers. Nothing seems to be functioning properly. And for the sake of making a fair comparison, he asked the manager to bring any model that was a little bit more expensive. He has brought me a miracle (Meze), I have never before come across a company like this. I turn it on, and for the next fifteen minutes, I just hang there, "stuck," if you will; I caught myself thinking that I had already listened to the entire test track list in the shop! Simply put, I enjoyed listening to the sound and the music! I re-listened to the 770 buyers, and then I asked for a Sennheiser from a much higher price category to use as a point of comparison. In the end, I decided to purchase a Meze. I do not consider myself to be a fan of music, let alone an audiophile, and I write in my own words. Meze has a sound that is very lively and bright sounding, and the bass is cool (not booming, as someone else has already mentioned), "elastic." It is possible to make out the individual instruments. It's possible that it contradicts the idea of a "pure studio sound," but I don't work in a recording studio and I don't mix music, and to my ears, Meze just sounds fantastic! The Fiio K3 + Meze 99 bundle outperforms my wireless Bowers & Wilkins PX headphones, which are not the worst representatives of their class, in every way. And the price is approximately the same. Do not place unquestioning faith in ratings, brands, or the judgments of other people. Visit these establishments and listen with YOUR OWN EARS! Sounds that appeal to a large number of people might not be to your taste. Remember to use a reliable source. I found that the Fiio K3 was the model that offered the best balance of features and affordability (from my point of view). I want to emphasize that, overall, I am very satisfied with the sound. Do not believe that the sound card that is already built into your computer will help you hear better.
