There is a smell of new technology, if you want the smell of a new car interior, this is if you sniff earbuds right up close, yes, but no more. Regarding the material. Yes, the cups are actually made of wood. PU leather earbuds are not real leather (for buyers, by the way, google the CUSTOM One Pro Plus photo after a year of use, everything is bad there). They are more detailed, a little wider on the stage and MUSICAL! 770s for work all the same. In these you get high even without warming up. Maybe they are not as honest and pure as the 770s, but more vivid and emotional. The 770 are great headphones, but the meze 99 is love at first listen. They are bass, accurate, pleasant, warmer in sound. I am extremely pleased!
