Review on 3Pack Wall Mount Bracket For Blink XT by Brandon Rogers

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Disappointing

After hours of searching for camera mounts, looking at pictures, reading descriptions and reviews, this was my second attempt at installing a mount for my Blink XT2 camera. The biggest problem with this product is the snap ring, which has to fit into the corresponding recess on the back of the camera and hold it securely. It seems to hold up well on the first try. The second time he feels a little free. At this point I was able to screw the base to the wall and attach the camera to it, this was the third time and the camera was spinning unsteadily which I thought was normal. The last step requires tightening the "neck" to fix the position of the camera. At the same time, the camera shifted and collapsed on a concrete garage, causing significant damage. The motion sensor doesn't seem to work either. This is a cheap, poorly tested product that you can grab from the Revain website. The camera manufacturer does not sell original mounts separately, which, by the way, work very well. This is all very disappointing, the camera manufacturer doesn't sell its original mounts to reassure third party sellers, doesn't implement proper quality assurance processes and allows anyone to sell any product without regard to fitness for purpose or fitness for purpose. Revain's excellent customer service has been the lifesaver through all of this. I am a longtime Revain customer and fan and am concerned about the reputational damage caused by such poor products. I hope camera makers Blink and Revain, who own the company, read this and make some improvements. I also hope they offer the original mounts for purchase.

Pros
  • ● Easy Installation---Each camera mount has 4 screws and wall anchors, the camera can be easily inserted or removed from the fixed mount (mount only, camera not included).
Cons
  • Damaged
