I use these when retrofitting 18" fluorescent lights in our RV. I don't use waterproof LED coils so I can't speak to the waterproof rating required. There is no self-adhesive backing on the cables (there is on the LED strips and it works fine). Therefore, it is also impractical to evaluate it by adhesion. Clamps it well and makes for a strong connection - yes! Does it slide easily over the LED strip, yes (there are small protrusions to slide the strip underneath and it clips over)! Was it easy to match the positive and negative sides of the strip to the connector? Yes! Plug is marked with + and -. Did I have to solder a lot? NO! it satisfied our needs and more were ordered.
