TX controller) allowing me to control 4 flashes in total. There's really no noticeable difference between the Model II and the original 622 other than the ease of updating the firmware. I recommend downloading the firmware update as it works better with the update. So if you have a choice, get the Model II for the upgradeability. In general, the devices work well and are easy to set up, with each flash controlled by a separate group of controllers. I can adjust the light output of the SB700 and SB900 flash units individually using the TX controller on the camera. This is an important feature for me as I put the flash in a softbox and it's difficult to access during a photo shoot. Please note that on older flashes (SB28) the TTL function does not work with Yongnuo, you must use the flash in manual mode - the light intensity cannot be controlled with Yongnuo flashes but they work fine in manual mode. However, I use this flash for portrait lighting and never change the settings, so this isn't an issue. I would give 5 stars but the quality control is not that good. I bought a total of 4 devices and one was defective. The price is so much lower than Pocket Wizards that I still saved money even though one of the four didn't work.
