My husband wanted to have a radio with him at the hospital while he was there for a while. All he was told was an old radio tape recorder, a battery type with an antenna. I couldn't find it anywhere in my local store! I read the Revain reviews on here and was ready to buy another model until I read another buyer's review that the other model was rubbish. Buy this particular make and model so I did! I put the batteries in and gave it a try before I went to the hospital and gosh I was pleased with the clarity of this nifty little radio. I knew I had to find one that could see the signal through all the walls of the hospital and still be crystal clear and this Kaito KA210 is a great choice. It's not only AM/FM, but also NOAA radio. It's about the size of a deck of cards, making it pocket-friendly. My husband couldn't be happier with it. In terms of battery life, it's already the third or fourth set of batteries in a week, but I think it's listening non-stop until it sleeps, I'm not sure? Another customer said his batteries lasted two weeks. So I gave those 3 stars just for the battery life and could that be wrong? Actually, I might end up buying another one for myself, I haven't decided yet. If you're camping, camping or going anywhere without an outlet and want a good clean radio, I definitely support buying this brand!
