I bought these for my exuberant boy and they passed the test. They are waterproof and well made. Although lined inside, children must still wear socks to avoid blisters. My son has wide feet and can easily fit in them. Some boots have very narrow ankles and don't fit him. He loves the design and wears these shoes even when it's not raining outside because he can put them on quickly and independently. My son is 3-1/2 and loves them.
