Review on 🏍️ HDBUBALUS Black Headlight Gauntlet Fairing w/Trigger Lock Mount, Fits Harley Sportster 1200 & 883 (39mm) by Benjamin Glasper

Bought for my 02 Sporty 1200. I had a full size HD windshield that was 17 years old so I started looking for a Gauntlet style fairing. Sure, Memphis Shades has one, but it's almost double the price, and to top it all off, you have to buy the mounting kit separately, which never worked for me. Some mixed reviews about it but decided to give it a try. I unpacked it and started assembling the fairing pieces, a fairly easy process. There is a guide, but it's not very detailed and the pictures are confusing. Then I went and installed the fork clamps. They look cheap and are a bit difficult to use. Arrange them according to the instructions and then the fun begins. Prepare to take the fairing in and out a number of times, trying to get everything in place. Although I think even expensive fairings will also be difficult due to their design and attachment/mounting system. After over two hours of finally loosening, tightening, shifting and adjusting, it was in a good place and well aligned. I proceeded to tighten the clamps using the tool provided. It doesn't fit well enough to actually tighten them and rounds off the heads. Do not use this tool. I used a little and a ratchet, worked fine. Use Loctite on all bolted connections, I don't see that as a problem but the hardware looks "cheap". The "trigger lock" seems to work but I'm not sure how well it will hold anymore, I used a zip tie on each for added security. Also, the two small "knobs" into which the fairing hardware screws and which are visible from the outside of the fairing are chipped and without paint. They offered to send me new gear but I will just touch it up with paint. So finally. The quality is decent, of course it's not Memphis Shades, but at least the complete kit for installation is included. Be patient, everything will work out. Time will tell how well it holds up. Pros: Looks fantastic, gives the bike a whole new look. Cons: Hassle to install, hardware feels "cheap".
