Please ignore their fancy descriptions. If you want a cheap cover I still wouldn't recommend it. It's not a soft inner rubber, it's basically a flexible plastic. And despite its looks, it's a thin layer of "rubber" with a piece of hard black plastic covering it. I nearly broke it trying to insert an iPod. The case does not protect your iPod from drops, and if you drop it on a rough surface, the jaws holding the iPod are not long enough to protect the screen from impact. Driving over bumps in the concrete. It doesn't protect the spring. Just pay $20 for an Otterbox cover. Twice as expensive. A hundred times more durable. My Otterbox still reliably protects my six year old iPod. The case is scratched, cracked and aged but I've dropped this thing a thousand times, the iPod looks brand new (remember it's six years old so it's starting to lag). Desperate for a clean new case for my new iPod, I paid for my mistake with a cheap piece of plastic about as thin as a condom and half as durable as a 5 year old balloon.
