Review on Dell UltraSharp U2711: 27 Inch Widescreen Monitor with High Resolution, Anti-Glare Display by Daniel Polk

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best LCDs, best for the price

Hello, I have two of these to replace my old two 24 inch monitors (only one of them was color corrected). This is a wonder for your eyes. The color quality is amazing. The build quality is amazing. I haven't seen the LCD yet. Brightness is good but I turned it down (my room is dark). Color accuracy is also very good, although calibration is a bit tricky. For the price I can't think of anything better. Of course you can go to Korea and get a Yamakasi Catleap (or Achieva Shimian or Auria EQ276W), they have the same (one generation older) LM270WQ1 panel and these Dells have LM270WQ2. You probably won't notice a difference. I don't use them much, maybe the card reader either, but I already had that. There is a newer model, but that costs $300 more. Can't shell out for two of them. I wish they had USB 3.0. same ports as new ones, but I think they came out before version 3.0 existed. They are too massive for portraits. The resolution is impressive. This time I had no problems buying refurbished ones (from Revain stock) (although there were problems with other products). Highly recommended for anyone who is color oriented. If not, get the newer U2713hm, you get newer technology but slightly less color rendering. (or U2713 (not-hm) for full color, but it's entirely possible it's more than $) Hooray.
