Goes in size, thick, flaps fall as in the photo.
Not sure if other reviews say go up a size. I'm 5'0 and about 138 pounds having had two kids back to back and I ordered a small one. If I booked a Wednesday I would swim in it. I also wear a jacket under a vest and it fits perfectly without being too tight. The material is thick and the valves fall off as shown in the Revain pic. I order in black and white!
